Personal Care Programs

Everyone’s situation is different and unique. Because of this, SADI offers several options for personal care in your home.
We can provide personal care to anyone regardless of disability or illness, from birth to an aging adult. Each program is different and may have its own service and age restrictions. SADI staff are trained to help you navigate the process of finding the program that works best for your lifestyle and situation. Please call SADI for more details about each service.

Consumer Directed Program
If you decide Consumer Directed Services (CDS) will meet your needs, your SADI Case Manager will assist you in becoming an employer. You will receive training on how to hire and manage your own attendants. It will be your responsibility to set up your attendant’s schedule and make sure your attendant is performing the tasks on your care plan. On the CDS program you can hire a family member to work for you (spouses are excluded). Before starting work, your attendant must pass a background screening through the Family Care Safety Registry. Your attendant can perform such tasks as laundry, meal prep, and assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Your attendant can also drive you to non-medical errands and appointments. You may also qualify for nursing care such as weekly medication set up or monthly nail care.
All CDS consumers are assigned a Case Manager to make sure the consumer’s needs are being met and to safeguard against fraud and abuse. CDS gives you the freedom of directing and managing your own care. You must have Missouri Medicaid and meet the eligibility requirements to receive CDS.

In-Home Services
If you prefer to have SADI select and schedule your aide to provide your personal care, you may choose our In-Home Services. All of SADI’s in-home aides and CNAs have been screened through the Family Care Safety Registry and they are well trained. Your aide can assist you with household chores such as meal prep and clean up, laundry, sweeping and mopping, and making the bed. Aides can also assist you with bathing, dressing and grooming and run errands and get groceries. You may also qualify to receive nursing care such as weekly medication setup or monthly nail care.
If you choose in-Home Services you don’t have to worry about paperwork, schedules or training, SADI will take care of the details for you. You must have Missouri Medicaid or private pay through monthly billing.

Private Pay
If you do not qualify for Medicaid but you are still in need of such things as personal care, assistance with household tasks, or help with errands, SADI offers private pay services. With private pay, a client can choose the hours of care they need and set up a schedule that works best for them. Depending on the needs and situation, SADI can provide aides, CNAs, and nurses who have been prescreened, registered, trained, and ready to come into your home and provide the care you need.
