Special Needs Services

SADI offers services to children and adults with special needs. Individuals and families can choose the service or services that best meets their specific needs.
To qualify for SADI’s Personal Care & Respite, Employment, and SADI CARES Day Program, an individual must be approved for the service through Sikeston Regional Center. The individual must be diagnosed with a developmental disability before the age of 22. If you have questions regarding services, our Special Needs staff will be happy to walk you through the process.

Personal Care and Respite
SADI offers personal care and respite services to all ages through waivers approved by the Department of Mental Health. Caregivers provide personal assistance in the individual’s home and in the community. Personal assistance includes assisting and supporting the individual with any activity of daily living and inclusion in the community to increase independence. All Caregivers receive extensive training and follow up courses. They must also pass a criminal background screening. SADI strives to match each individual with the right caregiver to ensure a strong relationship and a positive experience.

SADI CARES Day Program
The name SADI CARES stands for all the things our day program encompasses: Community, Activities, Recreation, Education, and Socialization. Our day program offers social interactions to individuals 18 years of age and up in the community through volunteering, recreational activities, and participation in social events. Individuals practice life skills such as cooking classes, purchasing groceries, laundry and taking care of pets and plants. SADI CARES has a rich learning environment with an educational component to enhance individual skill levels and promote independent living.
AnonymousIt’s time we take our focus off disabilities, and place it on capabilities, so we can see the person first.
